The concept of "Crevice" was derived from the strength, complexity and tension generated from giant triangle s which metaphorically represents the local winding landscape scene of mountains beyond mountains. Meanwhile the serendipity is brought by the essence of the waterway- forever changing, involving and transforming. It's not only the framework of program and circulation, but also a tool to create new perspectives, a dialogue between visitors and space and a guidance to the ascetic, time-suspended culture of inner peace.
We hope that this design can be integrated into the local landscape while appearing as a natural extension of the earth. It's also a contemporary reflection of the long and profound influence of ancient history and spirit. The crevice is where light can cast through hard rocks, as this project is a place deeply rooted in tradition and nurturing something new.

Pine
to Sea intertwines three distinct while interconnected themes—'Drifted,'
'Grafted,' and 'Lifted' – and creates dialogues between architecture and
nature, development and conservation. It invites inhabitants and visitors to
our new vision of Lignano’s landscape where the hotel, the pine forest, the
Adriatic coast, and the Tagliamento river converge into a holistic experience.
003 Enfolded
Kaira Looro 2024
In the rural areas of southern Senegal, we propose a maternity center designed to evoke a sense of protection and comfort for mothers. Inspired by the protective nature of a poultry wing, where a mother hen safeguards her chicks, our center aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for women during childbirth. This maternity center will provide an enfolded feeling as if held in a mother’s womb. Our goal is to ensure adequate hygiene and health conditions, reduce maternal mortality, and uphold the right to medical care. Additionally, it aims to offer mothers more opportunities to access health education and medical consultations from the early stages of pregnancy.
004 Silent Echoes
Buildner - Shortlisted
Silent Echoes responds to the global silence surrounding nuclear weapons and the ever-present threat they pose. Situated within a decommissioned nuclear testing site, this project embodies the paradox of destruction and remembrance through architecture. Without the use of text or description, the design communicates the devastating impact of nuclear arms by utilizing the void as its central element—an architectural representation of loss, absence, and unspoken consequences. Through minimal interventions, Silent Echoes reflects on humanity’s struggle with its past and the urgent need for collective memory to confront the invisible yet imminent dangers of nuclear weapons. The structure’s relationship with the landscape reinforces a narrative of devastation and contemplation, using materiality, spatial sequences, and light to invoke a sense of solemnity and reflection.

In the serene landscapes of North Macedonia, overlooking the historic city of Ohrid and its ancient lake, a new vision takes shape—one that bridges time and form. Our project aims to breathe new life into a modernist structure reminiscent of Boris Chipan. The original building, with its clean lines and cubic form, serves as a tribute to the region’s mid-century architecture, yet stands ready to be transformed into a vibrant Nautical Club.
The design concept centers on harmonizing the old and new through thoughtful interventions that emphasize continuity while celebrating change. As a first step, we remove structures that do not belong to the original design era, allowing the spirit of restoration to flourish and refocus attention on the heritage architecture. Additionally, the existing brick walls are replaced with glass blocks, preserving the rhythm of the original façade while introducing a modern, translucent aesthetic that softens the building’s appearance and invites natural light into the interior.
